Nisaa is an experienced Trauma Informed Psychotherapist with a strong passion for supporting those from different ethnic backgrounds accessing mental health support. She holds an undergraduate degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of Salford). With previous Childline and Young people experience, Nisaa is skilled in providing specialist advice and consultation to assist in formulation and treatment, whilst incorporating cultural differences and providing a support plan in line with clients cultural and religious beliefs. Nisaa is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families.
The experience Nisaa brings is from a clinical settings/volunteer settings/charity/schools/rehabilitation hospitals/prison, which has given her specialist experience in high-risk institutions and working with a diverse client range within the institutions. She is proficient in a range of therapeutic approaches such as Person-Centered therapy, solution focused, Emotion focused and Transactional Analysis.
Nisaa brings a Trauma Informed approach into her work throughout. In her words ‘I dedicate myself to ongoing professional development. My experience so far has allowed me to work with all ranges of life, from children to young people to elderly. I am diverse and culturally aware with my work I am able to apply.
Nisaa is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
