Rizwan Rashid

Position: Trauma Counsellor

Rizwan is a Person Centred, Trauma-Informed, Psychotherapist.  Rizwan has further qualified in Counselling for Depression, and offers compassion focused therapy, helping clients to replace feelings of hostility and insecurity towards themselves with compassion and understanding.

 

During lockdown he was identified and approached by a BME charity funded by the Government to offer psychological support working within the clients’ frame of reference including culture and religion, to the Global Majority Community, a project that lasted 2 years.

 

He has worked with a range of clients dealing with challenges including trauma, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, loss & grief, low self-esteem, identity issues, anger and communication.  As well as having worked extensively with male survivors of sexual harm, he has supported a diverse range of people going through cancer treatment and facing terminal diagnoses.

 

Rizwan is a registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (MBACP)
