At SafeHaven, we’re firmly committed to having a positive influence on the world around us.
Each year, we choose a charity that resonates with our team and the communities we support, and this year we decided to continue our proud support for the Cheshire Search and Rescue Team, winners of the Cheshire Life Magazine champions award for public service!
Our employees have actively participated in fundraising events and volunteer work for the organisation, which assists Cheshire Police with searches for vulnerable missing people, as well as flood response, evidence searching and assisting other emergency services as the need arises. We’ve also written a welfare and psychological trauma management policy for them, and delivered training in TRPFA.
This year it was an immense pleasure to once again run a 2-day course trauma-responsive psychological first aid course for the team, expanding their in-house capability for psychosocial support of team members.
Well done to everyone who took part – we know it was pretty intense…! We hope it will give extra confidence and support in the incredible work of the team👏
