Meet our new team member – Debbie Challinor

Please join us in welcoming Debbie Challinor to the SafeHaven team!

Debbie’s personal and professional experiences with neurodivergence and trauma were the driving force behind her decision to train as a person-centred counsellor. Debbie has worked face-to-face and online with a range of clients in the neurodivergent community, a national autism charity, and many neurodivergent adults, teens and families in crisis, dealing with anxiety, depression, anger issues and trauma.

As a neurodivergent, trauma-informed counsellor, Debbie’s approach is rooted in empathy, compassion and a deep respect for each person’s unique experiences. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

For those organisations striving to ensure their mental wellbeing provision is inclusive of neurodivergence, Debbie’s extensive knowledge of Autism, ADHD and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) will be of particular interest – please do reach out if you’d like to have a further conversation about this.
